Eiko Shuzo, located in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan, was established in 1897 and boasts over 120 years of brewing history. The brewery utilizes local Ehime ingredients, water sources, and manpower, adhering to traditional craftsmanship to meticulously produce various types of sake, liqueurs, and shochu.


Brewing Process and Characteristics of Kuramoto Umeshu
Kuramoto Umeshu is crafted using Nanko plums from Ehime Prefecture, authentic rice shochu, and the renowned Yunoizumi spring water from the Takasone mountain range. The plum pulp is fully integrated with the liquor, resulting in a rich texture and mellow taste without being overly sweet, exuding a splendid aroma. The entire process is handcrafted without any additives such as acidulants, colorings, or flavorings, requiring extended brewing time to achieve its sweet and rich plum flavor.
